May 12, 2002

New Orleans hip-hop duo, Big Tymers, takes the No. 1 spot on The Billboard 200 this week as the group's third album, Hood Rich, rolls in with 160,458 in first-week sales.

That's not the only impressive debut on the chart – the soundtrack to the blockbuster hit Spider-Man (powered by "Hero" from Nickelback's Chad Kroeger with Saliva's Josey Scott and the Hives' "Hate to Say I Told You So") debuts at No. 4 and 22-year-old piano-playing singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton's debut, Be Not Noboby comes in at No. 5 with first week sales of 102,000.

Kenny Chesney's No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems has fallen from the top spot to number three. Ashanti's self-titled former number one debut album holds the number two spot.

Other notable debuts include: Ali, Heavy Starch, No. 24; Phish's Trey Anastasio, Trey Anastasio, No. 45; Blackalicious, Blazing Arrow, No. 49; Irish Tenors, Ellis Island, No. 66; and C-Murder, Tru Dawgs, No. 67.
